Mumbai (Odisha) : In a recent development Former Odisha Minister and Senior Congress leader Padmalochan Panda joined BJP on Sunday.
In the presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP state President Basant Panda, Padmalochan joined the BJP party. On October 7 Panda resigned from the Congress Party.
Padmalochan is a three time member of of legislative Assembly (MLA) from Simulia assembly segment in Odisha Balasore district.
Along with Padmalochan Congress leader Subhankar Mohapatra also resigned Congress party including other party workers also. Meanwhile Pardhan criticized Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said ruling part failed to provide employment opportunities to the youth.
This comes ahead of forthcoming assembly polls which will go on floor in next year.
