Full Vaccination Mandatory For Travel In Local Trains For Essential Workers And Govt Employees: Maha Govt

Currently, the essential works, as well as government personnel, have been issued passes irrespective of their vaccination status

Mumbai: The government of Maharashtra on Tuesday issued a new mandate for the essential workers and government employees to travel to Mumbi Locals.

According to the issue, the workers need to be fully vaccinated in order to receive their universal pass to travel to locals.

Currently, the essential works, as well as government personnel, have been issued passes irrespective of their vaccination status. However, the mandate reads that it is being a considerable time since the vaccination drive started and is at a pace right now.

All citizens who fall under the definition of fully vaccinated, irrespective of whether they are essential workers or not are allowed to travel with a universal pass.

Earlier this month, all those below 18 years of age were also allowed to travel by local trains, as the schools and colleges are reopened physically in the city.

Apart from them, those with a medical condition that prevents them from being vaccinated need to carry a doctor’s certificate to be allowed on local trains.
