Ghaziabad: Life Of Thousands At Stake As Migrants Gather At Ramlila Ground

Mumbai: As the Lockdown extended for the fourth time in the country on Sunday, thousands of migrant workers gathered at Ramlila Ground in Ghaziabad to register for the special trains.

Three ‘Shramik Special’  trains carrying migrants will leave later today for different parts of Uttar Pradesh.

The administration failed to control the situation, as the migrants ignored the social distancing norms and were standing close to each other.

Risk factors arose, even more, when a positive case was seen within 500 meters of that area on the Aarogya Sethu app.

Uttar Pradesh currently has 4259 COVID-19 cases, 256 Shramik special trains given NOC for the return of migrants to the state.
