Gujarat Man Clicks Nude Pics Of 35-Year-Old Woman, Rapes Her For A Year; Booked
Mumbai: Gujarat Police have booked a 23-year-old man for repeatedly raping and blackmailing a 35-year-old woman for a year. The accused allegedly raped the married woman after promising to get her a job.
Following a complaint by the woman on Sunday night, the Sarthana Police registered a case against the accused, identified as Nilesh Lathia.
As per the details of the case shared by the police, the complainant lives with her husband and child. She came in contact with Lathia, a resident of Mota Varachha, a year ago. He had promised her that he would get her a job. He allegedly called her to a hotel and raped her. Police said he also took nude pictures of her and later used them to blackmail her.
10 days after the alleged sexual harassment incident at the hotel, Nilesh again contacted the woman. He told her that if he turned down her demands, he would circulate nude pictures of her on social media. On this threat, he allegedly raped her several times at his sister’s place in Gujarat’s Baruch.
After being sexual exploited on multiple occasions, the woman mustered the courage to approach the police. On Sunday, she lodged a complaint against Lathia. On the basis of her complaint, the police booked the accused under relevant provisions.
