Hansraj Gangaram Ahir Expected To Visit Site Of Gadchiroli Naxal attack Today

Mumbai: Union Home Minister Hansraj Gangaram Ahir is expected to visit Gadchiroli Naxal attack site in Maharashtra.

Condemning the blasts carried out by the Maoists, Ahir said that the government will learn the lesson and will ensure that in the incidents of explosions carried out by the Maoists on Wednesday, 15 policemen died in Gadchiroli.

“We will definitely give a befitting reply, but will (also) take lessons from this incident and take care that such incidents do not happen again,” said the Union minister.

“We have yet to get complete information about the incident. As per preliminary reports, QRT (Quick Response Team of the state police) was going a place where torching of vehicles (by Naxals) had taken place,” said Ahir.

“Gadchiroli police had been very successful in the fight against Naxals. We see this incident as a challenge. How and what happened will come out after the investigation,” he further stated.
