Earlier this year in August, the centre had allowed women to attempt National Defense Academy (NDA) exams.

This initiative was taken after the Supreme Court pointed out the ‘mindset problem’ and ‘gender discriminatory’ policies when it comes to equal opportunities for men and women in the country’s armed forces.

The Supreme Court had allowed women to sit for the exams this year, adding that they do not want women to be denied form their rights.
