‘Har Ghar Teeka, Ghar Ghar Teeka’: PM Modi Plans To Provide Vaccine At Doorstep

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held a review meeting with the districts where the administration of vaccines have been low through video conferencing.

While interacting during the meeting, PM Modi encouraged ‘Har ghar teeka, ghar ghar teeka’, by providing double dose vaccines at doorsteps.

“Doors of all those houses will be knocked where people still don’t have the protection of double dose. So far, you arranged for people to come to vaccination centres & have safe vaccination. We’ll now have to go to every house with the spirit of ‘Har ghar teeka, ghar ghar teeka’,” said PM.

He suggested forming a group of 20-25 people depending on the region and creating a healthy competition between the teams.

“If you want to make different strategies for each village, each town in your districts, then make that too. You can also do this by forming a team of 20-25 people depending on the region. We can also try to have a healthy competition in the teams that you have formed,” Modi suggested.

He added, “We all have vaccine-related experience of several months. We have learnt a lot of things. Even our ASHA workers have learnt how to fight an unknown enemy. You now have to go ahead by making a micro-strategy.”

PM Modi also emphasized the importance to stop rumours and misconceptions among people and creating short videos and finding other solutions.

PM said, “You’ve got the major challenge of ‘rumour’ & ‘misconception among people’. A big solution is to make them aware. You can take the help of local religious leaders, make their short videos & circulate it”

“As we go ahead, perhaps we’ll see these challenges in concentrated areas. A big solution is to make as many people aware as possible,” he added.
