HIV +ve Man Forces Wife Into Unprotected Sex In Bengaluru For Leaving Him

Mumbai: An HIV-positive man in Bengaluru allegedly had unprotected sex with his wife after drugging her for ending their six-year relationship suspecting his fidelity. The accused is a cab driver and the woman works in a garment factory.’

The 28-year-old woman is now awaiting the results of her HIV test. An art graduate and garment factory worker, she recently contacted the Banashankari Mahila Police, who sent her to Parihar, Vanitha Sahaywani’s family counselling centre in the Basavanagudi police station premises.

According to a report in the Times of India, the divorced woman and cab driver tied the knot in late 2015.

” Cabbie is basically a crook who is suspected of going through divorce proceedings by promising to marry several women. He and his sister would convince the women to go for second marriage with the driver so that they could pocket their money. They used the trick in 2015 to trap this young woman too,” said Bindya Yohannan, a family counsellor who dealt with the case.

After marriage, the cabbie initially kept the woman in a one-room residence in a building in Madiwala, saying it was her aunt’s house. But due to the hatred of the woman, the police raided the spot and she and some other women were picked up on suspicion of running a prostitution racket.

Parihar’s counsellor said, “The driver managed to convince her in the matter and ousted him. They settled in JP Nagar after he pocketed the Rs 2 lakh he received in alimony.”

A few months into their relationship, the woman caught and confronted the cabbie popping pills at home. He admitted that he was HIV positive and claimed that he had contracted it from his first wife.

“She was heartbroken by the revelation but was forced to live with her because he had abandoned his family. In the six years of their relationship, Driver never had unprotected sex with his second wife and She was getting HIV test every time. Bengaluru lab. Six months, which she described as the most embarrassing moment of her life,” reveals Yohannan.

She became suspicious after a woman’s nightdress went missing last August. She saw a picture on her husband’s mobile which showed a dress worn by an unknown woman on the sofa in his drawing-room. She broke down because she felt that her husband was cheating on her despite being with her even though he was HIV positive. She left him and went to her mother’s place.

The police have registered a case and further investigation into this matter is underway.
