I Entered Politics Accidentally Thinking To Leave : HD Kumaraswamy

Mumbai: On Saturday, in Hassan, former CM of Karnataka said he was fed up with present-day politics and thinking of keeping away from it.

“I entered politics accidentally. God gave me the opportunity to rule the state as Chief Minister two times. Good people have no place in today’s politics,” he said.

On his way to K.R. Pet from Chikkamagaluru, Mr Kumaraswamy took a break in the town. Section of media had succeeded in bringing in a ‘holy government’ to power by removing a ‘sinful government’. “I know how the administration is going on now. A series of transfers are done. Some officers have been transferred without showing a placement,” he alleged.

“Even today, my father (HD Deve Gowda) has not given up the fight. He may have the strength for it, but the pace with which things are going, I don’t think I’m on it anymore,” he added.

“Politics today is not good for people. It is the politics of caste, of vengeance. Could I have made all of this right? God will now take care of this. Do not ask this question to anyone from my family. Let me be. I am fed up and I want to be left in peace. I got a chance and I did the best I could do. I did not want the place in power, I just want a place in the people and I am satisfied with just that,” Mr Kumaraswamy said in Hassan district.

To reports on fielding his son Nikhil in polls, he said the reports are baseless.
