India Reports 13,596 COVID-19 Cases In Last 24 Hours, Lowest In 230 days

Mumbai: India has registered 13,596 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest in 230 days.

The country also reported 166 deaths in the same time period. India’s active COVID-19 caseload stood at 1,89,694, the lowest in 221 days, while the death toll reached 4,52,290

The number of people who have recovered from the coronavirus disease rose to 3,34,39,331 as 19,582 recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours, as MoHFW data was updated at 8 am. Notably, the national coronavirus recovery rate currently stands at 98.12 per cent, the highest since March 2020.

COVID active cases account for less than 1 per cent of total infections which is the lowest since March 2020.

The health ministry said that India’s active caseload stands at 1,89,694, the lowest in 221 days.

The weekly positivity rate (1.37 per cent), has been less than 3 per cent for the last 115 days. The daily positivity rate (1.37 per cent) is less than 3 per cent for the last 49 days.

The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country is 97,79,47,783 crore.

The cumulative tests conducted so far for the detection of COVID-19 in the country is 59.19 crore.
