India Reports 1,675 New COVID-19 Cases, 31 Deaths In Last 24 Hours

Mumbai: India has reported 1,675 COVID-19 cases, 1,635 recoveries and 31 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The health ministry said the active cases, which rose to nine in a day, comprised 0.03 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid recovery rate stood at 98.75 per cent.
According to the ministry, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.41 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 0.49 per cent.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,26,00,737, while the case fatality rate has been recorded at 1.22 per cent.
The total number of COVID vaccine doses administered so far in India under the nationwide immunization drive has exceeded 192.52 crores.
