India Reports 16,862 COVID-19 Cases, 19,391 Recoveries In Last 24 Hours

Mumbai: India reported 16,862 new COVID-19 cases and 19,391 recoveries in last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The number of COVID-19 deaths reported so far in the country reached 4,51,814 as 379 new deaths were reported.

Also, 19,391 recoveries were reported yesterday, taking the total recovery to 3.33 crore. The Health Ministry confirmed that there are 2.03 lakh active cases in the country.

Meanwhile, over 30.26 lakh vaccines were administered against COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of vaccinations in India is now more than 9714 crores.

It is to be noted that Kerala remains the worst affected state in the country as it is regularly reporting more than half of the total Covid cases in the country.

Out of 16,862 new Covid cases and 379 deaths in India in the last 24 hours, Kerala alone has reported 9,246 cases and 96 deaths.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing nationwide COVID-19 vaccination, 97,14,38,553 vaccine doses have been administered to the eligible beneficiaries. Of these, 30,26,483 hours.

As per data shared by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Friday, over 11 lakh samples were tested in the last 24 hours with which the total tests conducted so far crossed 58.88 crores.
