India Reports Slight Rise In Daily COVID-19 Cases At 14,623; 197 Deaths In 24 Hrs
Mumbai: India has reported 14,623 new COVID-19 cases and 197 deaths in the last 24 hours. This comes a day after the country saw 13,058 cases and 164 deaths.
The data released by MoHFW said that the active COVID-19 cases in the country have come down to 1,78,098.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 4,52,651, as 197 more people succumbed to the deadly infectious virus, showed the 8 am data released by the health ministry.
The recovery rate from coronavirus is currently 98.15 per cent, which is the highest since March 2020.
In the last 24 hours, 19,446 coronavirus patients were cured, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,34,78,247.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.10 per cent, which is less than 3 per cent for the last 51 days.
13,23,702 tests were conducted on Tuesday taking the total cumulative tests conducted so far to 59.44 crores for the detection of COVID-19 in the country.
So far 99,12,82,283 doses of COVID vaccine have been given under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
