India’s Condition Will Soon Be Like Sri Lanka, Afghanistan: TMC MP

Mumbai: India’s condition will soon be like Sri Lanka and Afghanistan under the BJP-led Central government, TMC’s National General Secretary and MP Abhishek Banerjee said.

“The way the price of fuel and LPG is rising soon the situation will be like Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. The price hike that people are facing is the prize for voting for BJP,” said Banerjee.

The Trinamool Congress national secretary hit out at the BJP, saying BJP leaders were claiming that they would not give dues to the state if the names of central schemes were not changed.

“Mamata Banerjee had dedicated the schemes to the people of Bengal. Mamta Banerjee did not name it after her but the Prime Minister’s arrogance is so big that till the names are changed they are openly saying that they will not give money. They take money from the state but don'” mentioned Banerjee.

Banerjee also alleged that 14 months after the results were declared and all the BJP leaders who came as daily commuters during the election campaign, were nowhere to be seen.

“While coming to Dhupguri today, I stopped midway to take stock of the situation in the area. I stopped at a market and talked to people about their problems. I wanted to see why people did not vote for TMC and where we were lacking. The people of Hills are waiting to contact TMC leaders. I don’t mince words, and I am telling all TMC workers to go out and approach people to find out their issues, and resolve them and all the leaders should produce work done by them during the party’s July 21’s rally,” further added Banerjee.

Banerjee also alleged that BJP leaders of these districts want Bengal to be divided and said that Bengal will not be divided as long as Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is alive.

The National Secretary of TMC also mentioned that their outreach program ‘Ek Dake Abhishek’ (Abhishek one call away) will be extended from Diamond Harbor to Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri and Cooch Behar from now on.
