Jaishankar To Meet Russian Foreign Minister In Moscow On August 27th

Mumbai: India’s External Affairs minister Dr. S. Jaishankar according to a message tweeted by the Indian ministry is scheduled to meet the Russian Foreign Minister on August 27th in Moscow.

“They will discuss ways to further advance bilateral cooperation, as well as compare notes on the schedule of upcoming contacts,” the tweet by the ministry said.

The meeting is organized to be held just a few days prior to the Eastern Economic Forum and is due to begin on September 4th to September 6th in Vladivostok. Prime minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to be the part of this forum.

National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval on Wednesday met the Russian NSA Nikolai Petrushev in Moscow and discussed the Kashmir Dispute. According to the reports, Russia has strongly supported the Indian move of abrogating Article 370 and has claimed the Kashmir issue to be bilateral. Russia agreed that there should be no foreign interference in this dispute and the issue was amongst India and Pakistan.
