Mumbai: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday continued his scathing attack against the BJP over the targeted killings of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley and appealed to the Center to provide them security.

“The genocide that is happening with Kashmiri Pandits is not right. In the last 30 years, Kashmiri Pandits had to migrate twice and both happened when the BJP was in power. I will appeal to the government to take whatever necessary steps and provide them security,” Kejriwal said.

On Sunday, the AAP chief claimed that Kashmiri Pandits were being forced to leave the Valley due to targeted killings of minorities in the 1990s and called for an action plan to stop such incidents.

Addressing the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Jan Aakrosh rally at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, he said this shows that the BJP cannot handle Kashmir and only knows how to do dirty politics.

He alleged that whenever the BJP is in power in Jammu and Kashmir, Kashmiri Pandits are forced to leave the Valley.

Jammu and Kashmir have seen a spurt in the incidents of targeted killings since May this year. The targeted killings also included a Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat, who was shot dead inside the Tehsildar’s office in Chadoora tehsil of Budgam district.

“The BJP government has failed to provide security to Kashmiri Pandits. They have no plans, only meetings. Many meetings were held on the issue and now everyone wants to know the action plan,” he said.

“Whenever a killing takes place in Kashmir, it is said that the Union home minister is holding a high-level meeting. But where is the action plan? What is the plan? Kashmir wants an action plan,” he added, PTI reported.
