Keeping Eye On Doubling Rate Of Coronavirus Cases: Satyendar Jain

Mumbai: With the rapid rise in coronovirus cases in the national capital, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said on Tuesday that officials are keeping an eye on the doubling rate of cases keeping all measures in mind.

According to Delhi government officials, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the city rose to 2,081 on Monday, with 78 fresh cases and two deaths in one day.

On 12 April, eight days after the 1,000-digit calculation, the number of cases crossed the 2,000 marks on 20 April.

“Cases are increasing, but the lockdown has helped slow the rate. The number of cases has doubled from 1,000 in eight days. Therefore, we are now tracking its next doubling. But all measures are taken into consideration. Keeping, ”Jain told reporters.

Officials said around 70 COVID-19 tests were carried out using a newly acquired rapid antibody diagnostic kit in a control area of ​​Nabi Karim in Delhi on Monday and all samples came out negative.

He said a death accounting committee has been constituted for a daily audit of every death from COVID-19.

Officials said that out of the total number of 47 people reported so far, 25 dead were 60 and older.

He said that twelve of them were between 50-59 and 10 were under 50 years of age.
