With 52 New Coronavirus Positive Cases, Rajasthan Tally Reaches 1,628

Mumbai: An official said that Rajasthan registered 52 new coronovirus cases on Tuesday, taking the state’s virus to count to 1,628.

So far, there have been 25 deaths due to the virus in the state, of which Jaipur accounts for 13 deaths.

Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Rohit Kumar Singh said, “52 fresh cases have been reported in nine districts of the state, out of which 34 are in Jaipur.”

He said that the results of testing of backlog 4000 samples sent to a private lab in Delhi have started coming and they are being captured in the report. Therefore, the number of positive cases is expected to increase today and tomorrow.

Singh said that out of 52 fresh cases, 34 were reported from Jaipur; Five in Jodhpur; Four in Bhilwara; Two from Tonk, Dausa, and Jaisalmer and one each from Madhopur, Nagaur, and Jhunjhunu.

A total of 1,628 cases of the virus have been reported in the state so far.

He said that 302 patients have tested negative for infection after treatment so far, of which 97 have been discharged from hospitals.

A total of COVID-19 cases in Rajasthan have brought two Italian citizens and 61 people from Iran to army health centers in Jodhpur and Jaisalmer.
