Maha: 92 New Cases Of COVID-19 Take State Tally To 1,666

Mumbai: As 92 more cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Maharashtra, the number of such patients in the state reached 1,666 on Saturday, the state’s health department said.

It said that two of these new cases were detected in Mumbai.

Five in Malegaon, four in Thane, two each in Panvel and Aurangabad, one each in Kalyan- Dombivali, Vasai-Virar, Pune, Ahmednagar, Nashik City, Nashik Rural and Palghar tested positive.

So far, 110 people have died due to infection in the state. Officials said that 188 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovery.

Till yesterday, 33,093 samples have been tested, they said.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday stated that the number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 7,447, while the death toll has reached 239.

Moreover, 643 people have been cured, discharged or migrated, the ministry’s data revealed. Cases have been reported from 31 states and Union Territories so far.
