Maha: BJP’s Ram Kadam Detained By Mumbai Police During ‘Jan Aakrosh Yatra’

Mumbai: Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Ram Kadam and some of his supporters were detained by police from outside their residents in Mumbai during the ‘Jan Aakrosh Yatra’ in Palghar and the cases of robbery in Palghar by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Demanded investigation.

The BJP leader was brought to the Khar police station after being detained.

ANI quoted Kadam saying, “Maharashtra, the land of our brave saints and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, is in the wrong hands. We are being prevented from reaching Palghar to demand justice for our saints. Thousands of police personnel surrounded us as if we were terrorists. What is the restriction that Maharashtra Police is imposing on us?”

On the night of 16 April this year, a case of beating of two sadhus and their driver came to light when they were traveling from Mumbai to Kandivali to attend a funeral in Surat from Gujarat, following a nationwide lockdown and their vehicle was stopped and they were allegedly attacked and killed by a mob in Gadchinchile village in the presence of police officers.
