Maharashtra Assembly Election: BJP Leads In Kalyan East And Dombivali

Mumbai: The counting of votes for Kalyan East, Dombivali and Kalyan Rural seats in Maharashtra started at 8 am on Thursday, i.e. 24 October, while the initial trends came till 10 pm.

Earlier in Maharashtra, there was a single-phase polling on October 21, 2019. The Maharashtra Legislative Assembly has 288 Vidhan Sabha (Vidhan Sabha) seats this year.

As per the official notification by the EC, the last date for filing nominations was October 4, while the last date for withdrawal of candidature for the state assembly elections.

Kalyan East Assembly constituency is located in Thane district. It is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Maharashtra. Prominent candidates in the election are Ganpat Kalu Gaikwad from BJP, Prakash Balkrishna Tare from NCP, Milind Chandrakant Belmakar from BSP, Abhijeet Ravi Tribhuvan from BMP and Ashwini Vinayak Thorat-Dhumal from VBA. In Maharashtra assembly election 2014, independent candidate Ganpat Kalu Gaikwad won the Kalyan East seat by securing 36,357 votes against Shiv Sena’s Gopal Ramchandra Landge.

Dombivli Assembly Constituency is located in Thane District. It is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Maharashtra. In the 2014 assembly elections, BJP’s Chauhan Ravindra Dattatre defeated Deepesh Pundalik Mhatre of Shiv Sena by 83,872 votes.

Kalyan Rural Assembly constituency is located in Thane district. It is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Maharashtra. The elections include Pramod (Raju) Ratan Patil from MNS, Mhatre Ramesh Sucharya from Shiv Sena, Amol Dhanraj Kendre from VBA, Chandrakant Vitthal Sonawane from others. In the 2014 Maharashtra assembly elections of Kalyan Gramin, Shiv Sena’s Bhoir Subhash Ganu secured 84,110 votes against Ramesh Ratan Patil of MNS.
