Of 287 MLAs, 271 voted, while three MLAs of AIMIM and Samajwadi Party abstained from voting.

One post is vacant in the Vidhan Sabha due to the death of Shiv Sena’s Ramesh Latke.

Former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and senior Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar did not attend the session.

The development comes after a high-voltage political crisis in the state where a new government led by rebel Shiv Sena MLA Shinde came to power toppling the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) regime
