Mamata Banerjee Will Team Up With Congress For Upcoming Lok Sabha Elections
Whatever fight Congress and CPM has with us at the state level, that will stay, but we will fight together at the national level
Mumbai: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee recently announced that she will be fighting alongside the Congress and will take on Modi government in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
While addressing really in National capital Delhi, organised by Aama Aadmi Party at Jantar Mantar Banerjee announced that they will fight alongside the Congress and CPM at the national level.
“In upcoming elections we will fight together. Our differences with the Congress and CPM will remain till the state. We are together at the national level. Let them fight against me, I don’t mind. For interest of the nation, I’m ready to sacrifice my life/party,” she said.
By this announcement has given boost to the opposition’s efforts to stitch a grand alliance to take on the BJP in the general elections.
Taking a dig on PM Modi she said that democracy has become Namocracy and the situation in country is worse.
A host of opposition leaders including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, National Conference’s Farooq Abdullah, Nationalist Congress Party’s Sharad Pawar and CPI(M)’s Sitaram Yechury spoke during the rally.
