Man Rapes Sister’s 15-Yr-Old Friend In B’luru; Shares Video With Friends

Mumbai: A 20-year-old man and his five friends, including two minors, have been arrested on charges of allegedly raping and sexually abusing his sister’s 15-year-old female friend in Bengaluru.

According to reports, the main accused not only raped the victim but also recorded the criminal incident on his mobile phone. The video of the abuse was also shared with other accused and they used it to sexually assault the minor girl and even tried to extort money from her.

Further investigation revealed that the incident took place when the victim had gone to her friend’s house last October and her friend was not at home. Meanwhile, the victim was raped by her friend’s elder brother and he recorded the incident on his mobile phone.

According to a report in the Times of India, after the victim shared the video with her friends, things took an ugly turn as they started threatening and sexually abusing her.

Meanwhile, the victim’s mother noticed some change in her behaviour and later questioned her as she realized that she was going into depression. At first, the girl refused to give the shocking information to her mother.

However, after repeated consultations and questioning, the victim told her mother about the painful plight, following which she lodged a quick complaint against the accused on 6 April.

After learning about the case, the cops sprung into action and arrested the 6 accused persons. Based on the complaint lodged by the victim’s mother, eight suspects were booked under the POCSO Act and section 376 (rape) of the IPC. Elaborating further on the case, the cops added, “Two suspects are elusive and we are looking for them,” stated the TOI report.
