Night Curfew Hours Extended To 8pm-7am In Noida, Lucknow, 8 Other UP Districts

Mumbai: In wake of rising COVID19 cases, the state government on Thursday announced the imposition of night curfew in 10 districts including capital Lucknow.

The night curfew has been imposed in the districts which have more than 2,000 active cases of Covid19. The night curfew timings in Uttar Pradesh will be 8 pm to 7 am.

“10 districts including Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Kanpur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad, Meerut and Gorakhpur having more than 2,000 active cases should be put under night curfew from 8 pm to 7 am. This order should be implemented with immediate effect,” CM Yogi said.

However, the announcement came a day after Uttar Pradesh has recorded 20,510 new Covid19 cases in a day, its highest-ever daily spike. The number of active coronavirus cases in Uttar Pradesh has risen to 1,11,835.
