No Political Front To Be Made Without Cong: Raut On Anti-BJP Front

Mumbai: After Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao met his Maharashtra counterpart Uddhav Thackeray and NCP chief Sharad Pawar to form an alliance opposing the BJP, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said on Monday that they never said that a political front will be formed without Congress.

The meeting assumes significance as it highlights the effort to unite against the Bharatiya Janata Party at the national level ahead of the 2024 general elections.

Speaking to reporters today morning, Sanjay Raut said, “We never said that a political front will be formed without Congress.”

“At the time when Mamata Banerjee had suggested a political front, Shiv Sena was the first political party that spoke about taking Congress along. Chief Minister KCR has the ability to lead by taking everyone along,” Raut said.

Notably, Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party and Congress are in alliance in Maharashtra. The meeting comes after Telangana Chief Minister Rao called upon the opposition parties to unite against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Shiv Sena mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ on Sunday said the meeting will speed up the process of political unity at the national level against the BJP.
