Pakistan PM Imran Khan Refuses To Resign, Says Will Play Till Last Ball

He also hinted at a foreign conspiracy behind the current turmoil in Islamabad

Mumbai: Prime Minister Imran Khan is addressing the country. He started his address by saying that he has everything in life and he has come into politics to bring change to Pakistan.

He also hinted at a foreign conspiracy behind the current turmoil in Islamabad.

Khan said Pakistan has reached a “fixed moment” in its history. The Pakistan PM said that when he entered politics, he had three objectives – to “ensure justice, humanity and self-reliance”.

He said, “I do not need anything today, he (God) gave me everything for which I am very grateful. Pakistan is just 5 years older than me, I am from the first generation of the country born after independence.”

“As a kid, I remember Pakistan rising to the top. South Korea came to Pakistan to learn how we proceeded, the Malaysian prince went to school with me. The Middle East used to come to our universities. I have seen all this sinking in, my country is being humiliated,” said Pakistan PM.

“I entered politics to serve the people. I am a lucky person to whom Allah has given everything including fame and wealth. I am from the first generation that was born in a free country,” Khan said.

The Pakistan Assembly has been adjourned till 11 am on Sunday when the vote on the no-confidence motion is to be held.

With just 164 members in the 342-member assembly, Imran Khan’s ruling PTI alliance has been reduced to a minority. The opposition has a strength of 177 against the required majority mark of 172.

The opposition has nominated former PM Nawaz Sharif’s brother Shehbaz Sharif to lead the country in case Khan loses the trust vote.
