Part Of Vacant Building Collapses In Mumbai; No Casualty

Mumbai: A local body official said that a part of an empty building fell here on Friday morning, but no casualties were reported.

The Brihanmumbai Mahanagar Palika (BMC) official said the ground plus four-storey building is located on the Lokmanya Tilak Marg near the Mumbai Police Headquarters in the southern part of the metropolis.

He said that a part of the structure, ‘Ahmad’, which was in a dilapidated state and was already empty, crashed around 10.45 am.

“The building was quite old and the authorities had already evacuated its occupants. Therefore, no one was injured,” the official said.
