Partial ‘Corona Curfew’ In Uttar Pradesh Extended Till 7 am On May 6

Mumbai: The partial ‘corona curfew’ imposed in Uttar Pradesh has been extended till 7 am on May 6, said Navneet Sehgal, Additional Chief Secretary, Information. All markets, private and public offices will remain closed.

As per reports, markets, shopping malls and restaurants will also be closed. The government has advised people to stay indoors and only those involved in essential services will be exempted from the restrictions. Pharmacy shops, hospitals and other essential services will be available during the lockdown. Religious places will also remain closed.

Earlier Uttar Pradesh decided to implement the Corona curfew from Friday night to Tuesday morning at 7 am which has now been extended till Thursday.

Restrictions will not be imposed until 7 am Thursday and 8 pm Friday night.

Uttar Pradesh reported 30,983 fresh COVID-19 cases and 290 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the State Health Department. The fresh cases have taken the tally of the state’s active cases to 2,95,752. The state saw 36,650 recoveries.

The total cases in UP stand at 13,13,361 while the state’s death toll has reached 13,162. On Saturday, UP had recorded 30,317 fresh cases with 303 deaths.
