People Returning To Karnataka From Other States Will Be Kept In Institutional Quarantine: Govt

Mumbai: According to the Department of Health and Family Welfare of Karnataka, people returning to Karnataka from other states will have to live in institutional quarantine”.

An order issued by the state’s Health and Family Welfare Service states, “All persons returning to Karnataka from any state, symptomatic or asymptomatic, shall be kept in quarantine”> Institutional Quarantine.

It further states, “For persons claiming to have come from Goa, the Deputy Commissioner of the district will have to do verification and in the event of insufficient capacity available, they may be kept in the quarantine of the house for a period of 14 days, “The state is confirmed when the original is claimed. “

“Deputy Commissioner/Special Commissioner, BBMP will fix the rates for hotels where such returnees will be staying on a payment basis,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, 14 new coronavirus cases were reported as of 8:00 AM on May 12 in Karnataka, according to data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. 

This brings the total reported cases of coronavirus in Karnataka to 862. Among the total people infected as on date, 426 have recovered and 31 have passed away.
