People Trying To Break Congress In Goa Will Fail Miserably: Mukul Wasnik

Mumbai: Congress leader Mukul Wasnik said the people who tried to break the Congress party in Goa “failed miserably”.

“Some people want to break the MLAs of different political parties especially Congress. They tried to do the same with our party in Goa, but Congress MLAs have shown them they are going to fail here miserably,” he said.

Mukul Wasnik further said that he held a meeting with party MLAs in Goa and discussed how to further strengthen the party.

He said, “I held a meeting with all the Congress party MLAs in Goa. There were discussions on how to strengthen the Congress party in the state,” he said.

Notably, Congress on Sunday accused party leaders Michal Lobo and Digambar Kamat of conspiring with the BJP to rectify faults within the party. Mike Lobo was removed from the post of LOP on Monday.

Wasnik held a series of meetings with MLAs and other senior leaders on Monday afternoon which were attended by all 10 MLAs of the party except Digambar Kamat. Following the meeting, a disqualification petition was filed against Michael Lobo and Digambar Kamat.
