PM Modi Issues Immediate Ordinance On Ram temple

Mumbai :  Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that any decision on the Ordinance on Ram Temple can be taken only after the judicial process is completed.

In an interview with ANI, Modi said “We have said in our BJP’s manifesto that the solution to this issue will be found in the purview of the Constitution.”

Asked whether the government could consider issuing an Ordinance on Ram Temple, Modi said that the matter was in front of the Supreme Court and was probably in the final stages.

“Let the judicial process be over. After the judicial process is over, whatever will be our responsibility as the government, we are ready to make all efforts,” he added.

The case is being heard by the Supreme Court on January 4. In the case, petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court for day-to-day hearings.

Modi was asked why the ordinance cannot be brought to facilitate the construction of the Ram Temple after taking a similar step to impose instantaneous triple talaq.

For which Modi replied, said, “the triple talaq ordinance was brought after the Supreme Court verdict, in the light of Supreme Court verdict.”

He was referring to the verdict of the Supreme Court in 2017, and prohibited the practice of immediate triple talc in the Muslims. The demand for making this practice a punishable crime in the new Bill of Government is pending in the Rajya Sabha.
