PM Modi Praises CM Yogi Adityanath’s Efforts In Reducing Encephalitis Deaths

Mumbai: PM Narendra Modi praised CM Yogi Adityanath efforts on the decline in encephalitis deaths in Uttar Pradesh saying he was astonished by criticism from “vested interests” and continued with his efforts to combat the disease.

“I congratulate Yogi Adityanath’s government, which is seriously working on the cleanliness and health front. There was not a single session of Parliament when Yogiji, as a Lok Sabha MP, did not have the tragic issue of deaths from encephalitis raised,” the prime minister said here.

Recalling a large number of deaths due to encephalitis in the state in 2017, soon after the BJP government was formed, Modi said that some “vested interest groups” had blamed Chief Minister Adityanath, ignoring the fact that he had done the war. Waged a war against Sickness and awakened the nation “the danger posed by it.

“But Yogiji did not fear and did not trust, and his efforts produced positive results with a significant drop in deaths from encephalitis,” the Prime Minister said.

He was speaking at the launch of the National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP).
