Mumbai: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said on Wednesday that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) would soon be integrated into India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister also praised Home Minister Amit Shah for abolishing Article 370, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

“The dreams of our freedom fighters Birsa Munda, Sidhu Kanhu have come true with the abolition of Section 370. I would like to thank the Union Home Minister on behalf of the people of the state. I am sure that PoK will integrate under the leadership of India. Modi ji, ”he said while addressing a gathering here.

Das’s statement came just a day after External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that PoK was part of India and New Delhi hopes to one day have physical authority over it.

EAM said during a press meeting, “Our position on PoK is always clear, and it is very clear on PoK, and we hope that we will one day have physical authority over it.”
