Priyanka Chopra Bags A Superhero Film, Greenlit By Netflix

Mumbai: Bollywood actor and now global face Priyanka Chopra Jonas is all set to star in a new Netflix superhero film for kids titled We Can Be Heroes. The movie is being written, directed and produced by the director of the Spy Kids franchise, Robert Rodriguez.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the film revolves around a group of alien invaders who abduct Earth’s superheroes. The children are left to fend for themselves and save their parents and the world. Priyanka is expected to play the role of Ms Gradenko in the film.

The film will also star Christian Slater, YaYa Gosselin, Akira Akbar, Andrew Diaz, Andy Walken, Boyd Holbrook, Hala Finley, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Lotus Blossom, Lyon Daniels, Nathan Blair, Sung Kang, Vivien Lyra Blair, Adriana Barraza, Christopher McDonald and Pedro Pascal.

Priyanka was last seen in the film Isn’t It Romantic, which released on Netflix besides having a theatrical release in the US. She is all set to make her comeback to Bollywood with The Sky Is Pink, which will release on October 11. The Sky Is Pink, which stars Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim, will also be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival. Apart from this, she has a Hollywood film with Mindy Kaling, which is based on the theme of big fat Indian weddings.
