Raising Fuel Prices, Making Farmers Helpless On PM’s To-Do List: Rahul Gandhi

Mumbai: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said PM Narendra Modi’s daily to-do list includes rising fuel prices among other things.

Listing out 5 points including a hike in the price of petrol and diesel, Rahul Gandhi said that these are PM Modi’s daily to-do list. Petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 80 paise per litre on Wednesday, making it the eighth hike in nine days.

With the latest hike, petrol now costs Rs 101.01 per litre in Delhi, while diesel is selling at Rs 92.27 per litre. In Mumbai, the prices of petrol and diesel have increased by 84 paise and 85 paise per litre respectively, thus costing ₹ 115.88 and ₹ 100.10 per litre.

Petrol price in Chennai is ₹106.69 (increase by 75 paise) per litre and Diesel price is ₹96.76 (increase by 76 paise) per litre. Petrol in Kolkata costs ₹ 110.52 per litre (an increase of 84 paise) and diesel costs ₹ 95.42 per litre (an increase of 80 paise).

Apart from increasing the price of petrol and diesel, Rahul Gandhi said that PM Modi’s to-do list includes how to stop people from discussing expenditure, how to show hollow dreams of employment to youth, which government companies to sell and how to bring more miseries to the farmers.

Congress has been continuously raising the issue of a hike in petrol, diesel prices and will launch a nationwide protest campaign from tomorrow. Of the three-phase protest campaign, the first will be held on March 31, the second from April 2 to April 4 and the third on April 7– at various organizational levels.
