Rape Accuser Demanded Extortion Money After Bhushan Refused To Fund Web Series: T-Series

Mumbai: T-Series has called rape allegations by a 30-year-old woman against chairman Bhushan Kumar “false”.

T-Series Managing Director Bhushan Kumar has been accused of rape. An FIR has been registered at Mumbai’s DN Nagar police station where the 30-year-old alleged victim has accused Bhushan of raping her by luring her to work in a T-Series project.

In the midst of all this, an official statement has been issued by Bhushan Kumar. It said that the allegation levelled against the MD of T-Series is completely false and malicious.

The complaint lodged against Mr Bhushan Kumar is completely false and malicious and its contents are denied, the statement read. It is a false allegation that the woman in question was sexually abused on the pretext of getting her work between 2017 and 2020. It is a matter of record that she has already worked in films and music videos for the T-Series banner.

Around March 2021 she asked Mr Bhushan Kumar for help in making a web series she wanted to make, which was politely declined. Subsequently, in June 2021, following the lockdown in Maharashtra, he along with his partner started demanding a large amount as ransom near the T-Series banner.

Consequently, a complaint was filed by the T-Series banner on 1 July 2021 at Amboli Police Station against an attempt to extort the amount. We also have evidence in the form of audio recording for the extortion attempt and the same shall be provided to investigating agency

The present complaint filed by her is nothing but a counterblast to the complaint filed against her and her accomplice for the offence of extortion. We are in the process of consulting our lawyers in this regard and will take appropriate legal action, further read the statement.
