Section 144 Imposed In UP’s GB Nagar Till April 30 In View Of Festivals, Exams
Mumbai: Section 144 has been imposed in Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddha Nagar district till April 30, the Police Commissionerate said.
The order was passed keeping in view the upcoming festivals like Ramzan, Ram Navami, high school examinations and the General Legislative Council Election 2022.
“Section 144 CrPC will be imposed in the district from 1st to 30th Apr, in view of upcoming festivals of Ramzan, Ram Navami, Ambedkar Jayanti and High School/Inter examinations and the dates of General Legislative Council Election 2022 etc”, Police Commissionerate Gautam Budh Nagar said in a statement.
As per the provisions of Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, people have to follow the COVID-19 protocol in public places, which includes social distancing and wearing of masks in public.
