Sidhu Is A Misguided Missile That Is Not Under Control: Sukhbir Badal

Mumbai: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Wednesday called Congress MLA Navjot Singh Sidhu “a misguided missile” that is not under control.

“Navjot Singh Sidhu is a misguided missile that is not under control, can hit in any direction including himself. Today, Punjab doesn’t need a person who does acting but one who thinks about the development of the state,” Badal said.

A day after Sidhu’s office claimed that he was called to Delhi for a meeting with Rahul Gandhi, the former Congress chief on Tuesday said no such meeting was scheduled with the Punjab MLA.

“There is no meeting. I don’t know what you are talking about…,” Gandhi told reporters while leaving his Tughlaq Lane residence.

However, Sidhu earlier today tweeted a photograph with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and said that he had “a long meeting” with the Congress general secretary and daughter of party president Sonia Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi has been holding meetings with party leaders from Punjab the past few days amid infighting within Punjab Congress ranks ahead of a revamp of the party and state cabinet.
