Strict Curfew Imposed In Nanded For 11 Days As COVID-19 Cases Rise
Mumbai: Curfew has been imposed in Maharashtra’s Nanded district for 11 days in view of increasing coronavirus case. Senior Congress leader and Conservative Minister Ashok Chavan made an announcement in this regard.

The restriction will come into effect from March 24. “In the public interest, the District Collector has decided to impose curfew in the entire Nanded district for 11 days from midnight on March 24. The administration is taking care that the supply of essential commodities and essential services will not be affected. We request citizens should cooperate,” a portal quoted Chavan as saying.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra on Sunday reported 30,535 fresh COVID-19 cases, the highest rise in a single day, the state health department said.
With this, the state’s overall tally of the infections mounted to 24,79,682 while 99 fatalities pushed the count to 53,399, it said.
