Terrorist Behind Civilian Killing Killed In Encounter In J&K’s Bandipora

Mumbai: Two militants were killed and a policeman was injured during encounters in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag and Bandipora districts on Monday, police said.

Kashmir’s Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vijay Kumar said the terrorist has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed Dar, who is associated with the banned terrorist organization Lashkar (TRF).

“Killed #terrorist has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar affiliated with proscribed #terror outfit LeT (TRF). He was involved in a recent civilian killing at Shahgund Bandipora,” tweeted Kashmir Zone Police. More details are awaited.

Last week, an unidentified terrorist was gunned down by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district. A policeman was also injured in the encounter with the terrorist.

Earlier on Tuesday, three civilians were killed by terrorists in separate incidents in Jammu and Kashmir. In the Shahgund area of ​​Bandipora, terrorists opened fire on a person named Mohammed Shafi Lone. Police said that Lone was a resident of Naidkhai.

Also on Thursday, two government teachers including Supinder Kaur from Srinagar and Chand from Jammu were killed in the union territory.
