T’gana CM Revanth Reddy Assigns Portfolios, Keeps Law & Order

Mumbai: Telangana CM Revanth Reddy on Saturday submitted the list of ministers’ portfolios to Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan. As per the list, CM Reddy will keep several key portfolios, including General Administration and Law and Order. Meanwhile, Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka will keep the Finance and Planning, and Energy portfolios

In addition to overseeing all other unassigned ministries, the chief minister would also be in charge of the home department, general administration, and municipal administration.

As one of the eleven ministers sworn in on December 7, senior Congress leader N Uttam Kumar Reddy has been given responsibility for irrigation, food, and civil supplies.

The ministries of health, medical and family welfare, science and technology, and Andhra Pradesh’s bifurcation will be headed by senior state lawmaker C Damodar Raja Narasimha, who was last a minister in the Kiran Kumar Reddy-led government.

Komatireddy Under the Revanth Reddy-led administration, Venkat Reddy, a former member of the YSR government of an undivided Andhra Pradesh, has been assigned responsibility for buildings, roads, and cinematography.

Konda Surekha, one of the two female ministers in the administration, would be in charge of the ministries of endowments, the environment, and forests, while D Anasuya, also known as Seethakka, would be in charge of panchayat raj, women and child welfare, and rural development.

Ponnam Prabhakar would lead the ministries of transportation and welfare for the underprivileged, while D Sridhar Babu would handle the industries, IT, and legislative affairs portfolios.

The ministries of excise, tourism, and culture have been given to Jupally Krishna Rao. An expansion in the council of ministers is expected in the upcoming days, as six more ministers can be accommodated in the government.
