Three Men Arrested For Raping Woman In J&K’s Poonch

Mumbai: Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested three men for allegedly raping and threatening a woman with death in Jammu & Kashmir’s Poonch.

The woman in her complaint alleged that an acquaintance of hers called her to his place to discuss marriage and took her to an abandoned house.

A police spokesman said the victim had lodged a complaint with Mandi police station on March 11 that her acquaintance Gultaz Ahmed along with two of her friends raped her.

She alleged that Ahmed invited her to his house in Seri Chauhan on February 21 to discuss the marriage and took her to a nearby deserted house. Once there, Ahmed called two of his neighbours – Ejaz and Shaq – and they all raped him during the night, the woman alleged, she said. She said that she lost consciousness for a while and when she came, the accused threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident.

A case had been filed against the accused and a further investigation into the matter is on, said the spokesman.
