TMC Leaders Will Fight Against BJP Till ‘Last Drop Of Our Blood’: Abhishek Banerjee Slams BJP Over ED Summons

West Bengal: Hours after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew and his wife TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee in the alleged coal scam, he said that he and his party leaders would fight against the BJP till the “last drop of our blood”.

“TMC will go to all those states where BJP has killed democracy and snatched people’s rights. We will fight till the last drop of our blood. They think we will sit if they scare us. But this is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. It is the land of Swami Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Paramahansa,” Banerjee said in Kalighat.

He further said that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) will step into every state which is currently ruled by the BJP and will fight to grab power from the saffron party.

Terming the ED summons as political vendetta, Banerjee, who represents Diamond Harbor seat in Lok Sabha, said central agencies cannot stop her proposal.

“When we fight, we have only two things on our mind – either hoist the flag we are fighting for or come back wrapped in it. I challenge Amit Shah to stop TMC if he has guts. We will snatch from you the state we enter,” he said.

Banerjee further said, ‘BJP feels that they can put pressure on us by using ED against us, but we will emerge stronger.

The TMC MP has been summoned to appear before the investigating officer of the case in Delhi on September 6 while his wife Rujira has been sent a similar summons under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) for September 1.
