Total Number Of Coronavirus Cases In India Rises To 125

Mumbai: In fresh reports, the number of novel coronavirus cases in India rose to 125 on Tuesday, the Union health ministry said.

Today’s tally of 125 positive cases includes 22 foreign nationals in the country.

The country’s highest tally of 36 cases is reported from Maharashtra which includes three foreign nationals.
According to official figures, there are 22 cases of COVID-19 in Kerala, including two foreign nationals while 12 in Uttar Pradesh and four cases of coronavirus in Telangana.

Two recent cases from Karnataka have come up with the Health Minister of Karnataka stating that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state has gone up to 10. A coronavirus-related death has also occurred from the state in the past week.

There are 7 positive cases in Delhi, including one death due to infection. According to official figures, one positive case has been reported in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand. Two positive cases have been reported in Rajasthan.

The Union Territories of Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir have registered four and three cases respectively. 14 foreign nationals have reported positively in Haryana.

The Ministry of Health has issued advice on measures to implement social consultations to suggest the closure of gymnasiums, museums, cultural and social centres, swimming pools and theatres of all educational institutions by 31 March.

The government has also prohibited the proliferation of coronavirus cases, along with a travel ban, banning the entry of all travellers from the European Union, European Free Trade Association, Turkey, United Kingdom, Malaysia, the Philippines and Afghanistan.
