Two More COVID-19 Cases In Assam, State Tally Reaches 214

Mumbai: Two more COVID-19 cases have been reported from Assam, with 214 cases of coronovirus in the state, Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Friday.

“Two persons from Sivasagar in quarantine at our Jorhat centre are found COVID-19 positive. Total cases in the state stand at 214,” tweeted Sarma.

He said 54 out of 214 have been recovered, while 153 cases are still active in the state. As of Friday, there have been four deaths in Assam and three coronovirus patients have migrated.

Meanwhile, India reported around 6,088 fresh cases and 148 deaths in the past 24 hours taking the toll to 1,18,447 as per the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

The total number of deaths rose to 3,583. India currently has 66,330 active cases with 48,533 patients recovered and discharged successfully.
