Unforgettable: Narendra Modi Shares Pics From His Visit To Kargil During Kargil

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared pictures from his visit to Kargil during the war in 1999, saying his interactions with the soldiers are still “unforgettable”.

“During the Kargil War in 1999, I had the opportunity to go to Kargil and show solidarity with our brave soldiers,” he tweeted saying.

“This was a time when I was working for my Party in J&K as well as Himachal Pradesh.

The visit to Kargil and interactions with soldiers are unforgettable,” he added.

Twenty years after India took command of high-altitude outposts in Kargil, captured by Pakistani infiltrators, the country is commemorating the achievement as ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ on Friday.
