UP Polls: Yogi Adityanath Promises Free Ration From Diwali To Holi; Recalls Progress By His Government

Yogi Adityanath claimed that their government waived off Rs.36,000 crores farm loan and closed cattle smuggling

Mumbai: Ahead of the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the state CM Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday recalled the work their government did in the past 5 years for the progress of UP and promised free ration from Diwali to Holi.

The CM said that their government recruited 1.5 lakh police officers and set up ‘Anti-Romeo’ for the protection of women.

“Our govt in 2017, primarily worked on the protection of women with our ‘Anti-Romeo’ squad. We recruited 1.5 lakh, police officers, out of which 20% are assigned the task of women safety,” Yogi Adityanath in Badaun.

Yogi Adityanath claimed that their government waived off Rs.36,000 crores farm loan and closed cattle smuggling.

“86 lakh farmers were given a loan waiver of Rs 36,000 crores. We closed illegal slaughterhouses to restrict cattle smuggling completely,” Yogi Adityanath said.

He further attacked the opposition saying that they were on Twitter during the pandemic, so they should be answered on Twitter even during elections.

He added, “We provided free tests, treatment, ration, & vaccines during the pandemic; 13.5 crore people have been vaccinated in UP & while we were fighting corona, the opposition was on Twitter. So, during elections, they should be answered on Twitter only.”

The UP Chief Minister also announced that his state government will give free ration from Diwali to Holi, depending on the number of family numbers.

“Centre provided free ration till Diwali. Now the state govt will give free ration from Diwali till Holi, under which 35kg food grains, 1kg pulses, 1kg, cooking oil, 1kg sugar, & 1kg salt shall be given, depending on the number of family members,” UP CM Yogi Adityanath announced in Badaun.

Uttar Pradesh will go to assembly polls next year in February.
