UP Releases ₹159.29 Crore Assistance For 4.77 Lakh Flood-Affected Farmers

Mumbai: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday released ₹159.29 crore assistance for 4,77,581 farmers in 44 districts of the state which were affected by floods.

An official statement issued here said that the government has given a relief package after assessing the damage caused to the crop.

The Chief Minister has also directed the officials to give proper and immediate compensation to the flood-affected farmers.

The process of damage assessment has been expedited in the flood-affected districts.

According to department officials, a loss of Rs 180 crore has been assessed, out of which an assistance of Rs 160 crore has been released to over 4.77 lakh farmers through the State Disaster Response Fund.
