Wear Masks To Avoid Another Lockdown: Uttarakhand DGP To citizens

Mumbai: Uttarakhand Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Kumar on Monday appealed to the people to wear masks and maintain social distancing to avoid another lockdown

Strict action will be taken if the protocols are flouted, he said.

“COVID cases are increasing everywhere. States like Maharashtra are moving towards another lockdown. More than 500 cases are coming up every day in Uttarakhand too. People must revert to their habit of wearing masks and maintaining a distance of at least two yards from each other,” the DGP said.

He also appealed to people to wear masks and make social distance a part of their daily routine.

He said, “Lockdown is bad in every way. They hurt children’s studies and hurt the economy. I urge people to make a habit of wearing masks and maintaining social distance a part of their daily routine once again to prevent another spell of lockdown,” he said.

On Sunday, 550 COVID-19 cases were registered for most of the cases in Dehradun and Haridwar in Uttarakhand. 221 cases were reported in Dehradun and 173 in Haridwar.
